Following a nightmarish six months at Inter Milan, the Swiss international moved to Stoke City, where he has performed decently, scoring four goals in 30 Premier League games.
The former Bayern Munich man has made two appearances this season since returning from injury.
Now, the Daily Mail claim that Roma are interested in the 24-year-old, whose deal expires in 2020.
