The new Inter could be even more Argentinean than before. The Nerazzurri will be looking to make some big investments in the January transfer window in order to strengthen their squad.
Four Argentine players are now linked to the Beneamata: Carlos Tévez, Julian Velazquez, Lisandro Lopez and Matias Silvestre.
Tevez has always been at the top of the Nerazzurri wish-list but finding an agreement with Manchester City which is proving rather complicated. Furthermore, Tevez is now also followed by Milan which could make a big offer next month.
Regarding Silvestre, the defender would be really interested in moving to San Siro after joining Palermo from Catania for 7M Euros. The player’s agent didn’t deny that his client’s desire to make a leap in his career.
“I can see him well at Inter, they are a club with a tradition of Argentine players and will revolutionise their backline soon considering the age of their defenders,” said the player’s agent.
Ivan Ramiro Cordoba and Cristian Chivu are expected to leave the club soon and could be joined on the way out by Walter Samuel, who will be a free-agent in June 2012.
Silvestre signed a 4-year contract with Palermo and has the quality needed to play for Inter. But the Nerazzurri will have to offer nothing less than 10M Euros to persuade Massimo Zamparini to sell one of his best players.
