    After revealing his possible departure from Udinese in the summer, Mauricio Isla claimed he would like to join Roma.

    The Chilean winger is out injured for the rest of the season but President Pozzo has decided to sell him.

    “I didn’t speak to anyone from Roma apart from David Pizarro,” said Isla. Questioned whether he would like to replace Pizarro at Roma, Isla said: “I wish! But for now I need to focus and recover from injury, we will see what happens in the summer”.

    Gasperini to Napoli?

    With the reign of Walter Mazzarri set to end in the summer, Gian Piero Gasperini has been linked to the Azzurri job.

    “I was really close to Napoli last May,” the former Inter boss told Radio Kiss Kiss. “It would have been a great opportunity for me. I would have been picked to continue an already established project with my favourite strategy.”

    “Still I will never offer myself to a club. My intention is to work on a serious project. I have done well for many years and then had an unlucky spell at Inter. We will see what happens next,” said Gasperini.

    “No club can plan what will happen in the summer yet and Napoli already have an excellent coach. I hope he will be able to reach important targets.

    “Napoli has always been an important club and Mazzarri has done a really good job at the San Paolo,” concluded the manager.
