Juvemania: here's the transfer strategy of Marotta

Juventus CEO Beppe Marotta has been outlining the clubs transfer strategy for the summer. His first statement however, concerned the situation with current French midfielder Paul Pogba to which he simply replied; “Pogba is not on the market”. Next on the list was Spanish striker Alvaro Morata to which Marotta explained that; “In the next three weeks we will decide the future of Morata”. Our information is that Juventus will not raise the threshold of €20 million. If Real Madrid chooses to activate their buy-back clause, the CEO has alternatives but we should exclude the likes of Cavani and Lukaku. It’s likely the bianconeri will look for younger striking talent given that they already have Mandzukic and Zaza.

    WHAT ABOUT ZAZA
Despite reports of his imminent departure, it seems the Italian international may still have a future in Turin. The club are set to offer him a more senior role in the squad which will be reflected by a new improved contract, as recognition for his patience and for the winning goal against Napoli in what was effectively, the title defining game.

    OTHER ALTERNATIVES
Coach Allegri will renew his contract shortly as will Barzagli. Buffon meanwhile, will decide what he wants to do in a couple of season’s time. For the midfield, interest still remains in Andre Gomes and our sources in Brazil also state that Walace is an option. Berardi will arrive as an attacking midfielder despite what Sassuolo President Squinzi states. Isco of Real Madrid has already been courted by Marotta who rates the player highly; our opinion is that he could arrive on loan with a view to a future permanent deal. When we look at defensive reinforcements, Danilo remains the dream but looks to be an impossible one. Widmer could be an option from Udinese but not Van der Wiel, despite being available on a free transfer. A more realistic option is Mustafi, a German international who can play in the centre or as a full-back. With Caceres departing, super-agent Raiola has offered Tete from Ajax, but the player is considered too immature.
