    Lassana Diarra ordered to pay € 10 million fine to Lokomotiv Moscow

    FIFA have ruled that Olympique de Marseille midfielder Lassana Diarra has to pay former club Lokomotiv Moscow € 10 million following his controversial spell t the club back in 2014.

    The French International moved to CSKA from Anzhi but was sacked by the Russian side after he refused to turn up to trainings.

    The player has announced the punishment via his official Twitter account.
      “I want to thank all the people that have backed me during this time. I wouldn’t wish that to any footballer. I take full responsibility of what I did in the past. It’s a closed chapter and I am now only focused on France and the EURO that will be organized in my country.”

    Diarra, 30, has already faced a 15 months ban, plus 15 months with no salary and € 110.000 fine in favour of the Court of Arbitration for Sport.
