Napoli not going to release interviews after night away games this season

Maurizio Sarri did not take part to any post-match interview after Napoli’s 2-2 draw against Pescara. The partenopei, however, had informed media before the game that their boss would not have talked to journalists after the game, regardless the final result.

Napoli confirmed on their official Twitter account that their decision was taken before the game and not after adding that they are not going to release post match interviews after any away evening game this season.

“We did not ban journalists yesterday night as Hamsik talked to the press on the pitch at the end of the game.”

“We had already informed the Lega Calcio that we are not going to release interviews after night away games this season, regardless results, referees decisions and any other even that might happen.”

Napoli were awarded a penalty kick yesterday night, but the referee changed his mind shortly afterwards, because a player of Napoli had previously fouled Pescara goalkeeper Albano Bizzarri and many journalists thought that the club’s decision not to talk with the press was due to refereeing controversies.
