OPINION: Dont' blame Miha, AC Milan have wasted their transfer funds this season

Everyone at AC Milan believes Sinisa Mihajlovic is not the one to be blamed for some of the Rossoneri disappointing results. Everyone except one, the most important person at the club: AC Milan’s owner Silvio Berlusconi.

Players and Adriano Galliani want Miha to stay at the club also next season, Berlusconi would prefer to sack the manager at the end of the campaign. The atmosphere in Milanello is not as relaxed as it appears from the outside. Pressure is mounting because no one would like to start all over from the beginning at the end of the year. Here again, no one, except from Berlusconi.

The Serbian manager doesn’t want to create controversies. He knows he has been giving the team its own identity, he’s well aware of the quality of his job, but openly talking about his future would only add tension and he knows that would not help his lads who have to remain focused on what happens on the pitch.

Miha has done the best he could with the players at his disposal because Adriano Galliani got almost the whole transfer strategy wrong.

As Il Correire della Sera points out, AC Milan spent € 86 million on new recruits last summer, but the team was not built properly and even if their style of play has improved a bit, AC Milan’s position on the table is still disappointing.

AC Milan have changed four managers in the last three years, none of them could improve the team’s results and Berlusconi should consider the future of who was in charge of the last transfer campaign, rather than pondering the coach's sack.
