Revealed: Why Paulo Dybala snubbed PSG move

Juventus star Paulo Dybala snubbed a move to PSG in summer 2015, picking Serie A giants Juventus instead, today’s edition of L’Equipe reports. The Argentinean striker moved from Palermo to Juventus for € 40 million in summer 2015, but PSG were also interested in welcoming the player’s services.

The French paper blames PSG’s poor international appeal for Dybala’s snub adding that La Joya is not the only international star to have rejected a transfer to the Parc des Princes. The likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi, Neymar, Robert Lewandowski, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Kevin De Bruyne and Ousmane Dembelé had all been linked with moves to Paris but, somehow, neither of them has eventually joined the Ligue1 giants.

PSG’s problem is clearly not economic but they are paying a high price in terms of image as they do not have the same pedigree of clubs like Juventus, Barcelona, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich, nor the Ligue1 is seen as a competitive league by most of European stars who, in fact, prefer signing with other clubs rather than joining PSG.
