    Wilshere's AS Roma move collapsed as player prefers Crystal Palace switch

    Jack Wilshere doesn’t look like he’ll be at Arsenal very long, and has been linked to Roma, Juventus and Milan. 

    Listed among the twenty or so teams to have made an offer after he was transfer-listed, the Giallorossi are in need of a midfielder, with William Vainqueur being shipped off to France. 

    The 24-year-old prefers, however, to remain in London, and is seriously consider the offer of Crystal Palace. 

    Roma’s director of sport, Walter Sabatini, is reported to be very keen to bring the England international over, and is ready to offer a one-year loan, with the Giallorossi ready to pay for 80% of Wilshere’s salary. 

    14.00 UPDATE: According to Sky Italia, Wilshere has agreed personal terms with AS Roma and the giallorossi are now in transfer talks with Arsenal, the deal seems to be close.

    16.45 UPDATE: Sky Italia has just announced that Jack Wilshere has opted to move to Crystal Palace rather than moving to Italy, where AS Roma had made a contract offer to sign him. The Arsenal midfielder has preferred not to leave London and stay aorund joining Crystal Palace. AS Roma are now looking for new midfield reinforcement
