Tottenham: Eriksen puts contract talks on hold, Juve on alert, Real Madrid make contact

Tottenham star Christian Eriksen has lifted no trophy during his five-year spell at Tottenham and that could be a big problem for Spurs who are eager to extend the player’s contract that expires in 2020.

According to a report of Marca, the Danish midfielder has put new contract talks on hold and Real Madrid have shown their interest in the Tottenham midfielder with a preliminary contact that has been made by the La Liga giants. Real Madrid could sell Luka Modric next season as Florentino Perez is said not to be interested to extend the contract of the Croatian star. Eriksen could be his replacement. The Denmark star wants to lift some silverware and he is considering his future in North London.

The situation has also put Juventus on alert as the Old Lady is a long time admirer of the Tottenham midfield star. These could be the last months of Christian Eriksen being a player of Tottenham although Spurs are not going to sell the player easily. According to Marca, Daniel Levy looks at a € 250 million sale.
