Who wants to sign Gonzalo Higuain?

Gonzalo Higuain broke Gunnar Nordahl’s scoring record in Serie A last season netting 36 goals in 35 league games. The Argentinean’s striker contract runs until 2018 and the player’s agent and brother Nicolas has already informed media and the club that his brother is not going to extend his stay at the San Paolo.

Aurelio De Laurentiis is not going to listen to offers below € 94 million which is the player’s release fee. Arsenal want to offer Olivier Giroud plus € 60 million to sign the former Real Madrid ace. The Gunners have yet to make a formal offer to Napoli, but the partenopei expect to receive an e-mail from the Emirates Stadium pretty soon.
Would Napoli accept the offer? It is still early to predict that, though they’d definitely consider a proposal which would not be too far from the club’s asking price.

According to transfermarkt, Giroud’s market value is set to € 25 million, which mean Arsenal’s offer is in the region of € 85 million. The French international netted 24 goals with Arsenal last term and Napoli would have a replacement for Higuain (even if Giroud is not as strong as the Argentinean) plus bags on money.

Hebei Fortune have reportedly offered Higuain a salary of € 50 million a year, but money is not a problem for Higuain who doesn’t want to move to China at the peak of his career.

With PSG looking for a replacement of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, the French club could be interested in welcoming the player's services even if the Ligue1 giants have yet to make any formal bid, whilst Atletico Madrid's offer was refused last month.

What about Juventus? The Old Lady is also looking for a striker (Wanda Nara told Il Corriere della Sera they’ve offered € 50 million for Icardi) and Miralem Pjanic said yesterday he ‘wouldn’t be surprised to see Higuain joining Juventus in the summer given that Juventus are a club that always aim to victory.”

However, our pundit Giovanni Scotto reports that Juventus have made no approach with Napoli so far and the partenopei won’t be open to negotiate the sale of their star with one of their most hated rivals.
