    Empoli president: 'Fiorentina, Roma, Napoli asked for Tonelli'

    Empoli defender Lorenzo Tonelli is considered one of the best defenders of the Serie A. The 26-year-old, who is basically a center back but can play also as a right back, is considered a target for Fiorentina but also for other Italian club.
    The Tuscan club’s president Maurizio Corsi told Lady Radio: “Will Tonelli join the viola? Fiorentina have asked for him, but also Roma and Napoli and with better offers”
    However, Corsi added: “In the last years, I have bought many players from Fiorentina, and I even paid them. I have three top players like Saponara, Tonelli and Mario Rui, I’d rather sell them to the viola then to Milan”.
