Golden Foot 2010: Beckham, Buffon, Eto'o, Seedorf and Totti among the candidates

Today on Radio Monte Carlo the 2010 edition of the prestigious international Golden Foot award was presented, which enjoys the patronage of Prince Albert II of Monaco. With contributions and views from the 2009 winner, Brazilian Ronaldinho, the names of this years ten candidates were announced, here are the nominees: Beckham (England), Gianluigi Buffon (Italy), Didier Drogba ( Ivory Coast), Samuel Eto'o (Cameroon), Steven Gerrard (England), Ryan Giggs (Wales), Carles Puyol (Spain), Raúl González Blanco (Spain), Clarence Seedorf (Netherlands), Francesco Totti (Italy). The names were selected by the Golden Foot jury, consisting of 50 journalists representing sports media around the world. To decide the winner will be the fans, called to decide who deserves to leave their footprints on the Champions Promenade, the "Walk of Fame" of the football world. Voting is at until 12.00 GMT (Monte Carlo) 8th October
