Ancelotti refuses to rule out becoming Italy coach in the future

Bayern Munich boss Carlo Ancelotti has released an interview with Radio Rai talking about his new experience in Germany as well as his plans for the future.

ON BAYERN MUNICH: “They are a great club with excellent organization. The dressing room is leaded by players with plenty of experience. It’s a familiar environment, similar to the one of AC Milan a few years ago.”
“I have a strong team, we have our Champions League debut tomorrow. Rostov have no big names, but are a very organized team.”

COMPARISON WITH SERIE A: “Environment is the biggest difference. Stadiums are always full. Borussia Dortmund had an attendance average of 81.000 last season.”

EUROPEAN SUPER LEAGUE: “I’ve heard many rumours, but I think it is impossible to be put into practice. I don’t think big clubs are interested in leaving UEFA. Big clubs are happy in the Champions League. There will be some small changes in 2018, nothing more than that I think.”

RENATO SANCHES: “He’s an amazing player. A modern, dynamic midfielder. He’ll do well. Being a young player at Bayern Munich is easier than somewhere else, there is less pressure here. Real Madrid players have lot of pressure by media, every day.”

TOTTI: “I was taught that the player decides when to end his career, not the others. Maldini decided on his own and Totti will do the same. He can still decide games when he plays. Watching these footballers playing for as much time as possible is only for the good of the game. Pruzzo started training with more intensity after turning 30. You can’t play after 40 years old if you are not training seriously.

‘CHINESE’ MILAN: “It’s the end of an era. I hope new owners want to bring Milan back to the top and the economic aspect is vital.”

JUVENTUS: “Will they win the Champions League? I don’t know. For sure they’ll be competitive. Higuain is born to score 30 goals each season, that’s something very important.”

QUALITY YOUTHS: “It’s a problem that every country has. Germany has had some amazing ones from 2006, now they are also struggling to find new ones. Italy has players like Donnarumma, there is something coming up.”

FUTURE: “I don’t think I’ll ever coach a Chinese club, I like living in Europe. Italy? Never say never, I like to work with players on a daily basis, I don’t see me working three times a month at this stage of my career. I might be interested once I get old. A return to Serie A? In this moment I’ve called myself out for ‘history’ matters.
