Breaking: Roma win appeal over Strootman suspension, he will play against Milan and Juve

AS Roma have won their appeal over the suspension of Kevin Strootman who will be eligible to play the incoming two games against Milan and Juventus, the giallorossi side have announced through their official website.

The Dutchman had been suspended for simulation after that his behaviour had caused Danilo Cataldi’s suspension during last week-end’s derby clash between Roma and Lazio. The Federal Court of Justice, however, has withdrawn the two-match ban of the 26-year-old midfielder who is now eligible to play the incoming two clashes against Milan and Juventus.

Before the ruling of Federal Court of Justice, Roma’s GM Mauro Baldissoni had claimed that the suspension of Strootman would have twisted the league and that Juventus’ CEO Giuseppe Marotta agrees with AS Roma over their decision to appeal against the suspension of the Dutch footballer.

Here’s a video of the interview to Baldissoni shot by our reporter in Roma Francesca Schito.
