Genoa, a decisive 24 hours for Ansaldi

Sometime before tomorrow evening, Genoa’s attempt to purchase Cristian Ansaldi from Zenit St Petersburg will undergo a decisive turning point; FcInterNews.it states that the rossoblù will do everything possible to reach an agreement with the Russians as they present a new offer. A €3 million bid has already been tabled but the Russian club are holding out for €4 million. An agreement needs to be found in the next 24 hours as that is the deadline set for the port club to secure the player on a permanent deal after last season’s loan agreement. With Inter, Roma and Juventus all being linked with the 29-year-old Argentine defender, Zenit are in the driving seat as far as negotiations are concerned. The Italian’s are not the only ones interested either; reports state that the player is being monitored in both Germany and England.
