Is the Coutinho who is leading Brazil in the World Cup Under 20 the same Coutinho seen at Inter last season? The answer is obviously yes, and we knew that the young talent grown at Vasco da Gama had an uncommon skill. Perhaps he's lacking in personality, which is a crucial component especially in Serie A.
Coutinho must strenghten and improve, but it would be a mistake to put him aside after only one season. He's still very young, 19, and he can make the difference when playing with his peers: three appearances with the Seleçao Under 20 and three goals scored, plus assists, dribbling and a fast pace.

If Gasperini doesn't give Coutinho his trust, there is the risk of ruining a young talent.
