Juventus' Elkann: 'Napoli and Roma are weaker without Higuain and Pjanic'

There's a lot of optimism at Juventus, if Agnelli family industrialist John Elkann is to be believed.

“The Scudetto? Juventus have a squad with great individual talents and new faces, there's a lot of enthusiasm,” he told the ANSA press agency, “Roma and Napoli aren't as strong as they were without Miralem Pjanic and Gonzalo Higuain.”.

The chairman and CEO of Exor (who own Juventus) also praised Coach Max Allegri, who has two two Scudetti on the bounce since replacing Antonio Conte, also taking the Bianconeri to the 2014-2015 Champions League final.

“Allegri has show that he can assemble a squad with newly-arrived players”.

The Livornese Coach dealt admirably with the departures of Carlos Tevez, Andrea Pirlo and Arturo Vidal last season, his team appearing not to skip a beat once it overcame a difficult start to life in Serie A.
