Napoli, Fiorentina to swap Vecino for Valdifiori?
The rumour mill is heating up in Flo… come on now, the mill is always working in Florence. And overtime, come to think of it.
At least this recent report won't destabilise the club: Fiorentina and Napoli are considering a swap in midfield. According to Il Mattino, Napoli Coach Sarri is very interested in adding Matias Vecino to his squad. Who would go the other way? Mirko Valdifiori!
Both are former pupils of Sarri’s, having managed them last season at Empoli. That's about where he comparisons end, as the Uruguayan has started in Florence, forming an incredible midfield trio with Milan Badelj and Borja Valero. Valdifiori, for his part, has mostly looked lost in the middle of park, and his benching in favour of Jorginho is widely credited to have helped turn Napoli's form around.
The Viola are interested by the proposition, but want to wait until the end of the season to discuss things.
