Official: Cristiano Ronaldo signs new Real Madrid contract

Cristiano Ronaldo has signed a new contract with Real Madrid, the club have announced through their official website.

The Portuguese ace has extended his stay at the Santiago Bernabeu until 2021 and is set to remain at the Santiago Bernabeu until he turns 36.

Real Madrid have failed to unveil Cristiano Ronaldo’s new contract details, but the three-time Ballon d’Or winner is expected to be given a pay rise to earn more than € 21 million a year which is his current wage at Real Madrid.

Ronaldo is the last star of Real Madrid to sign a new contract with the club after the Merengues’ Champions League victory in June. Luka Modric, Toni Kroos and Gareth Bale had signed contract extensions before the former Manchester United star who is still the best paid Real Madrid player.

Ronaldo, 31, has seven goals and five assists in 12 games in all competitions so far this season.
