Real Madrid could trigger Gabriel Jesus’ release clause

Real Madrid are one of those clubs interested in signing Gabriel Jesus from Palmeiras. Inter, Juventus and Manchester City have already made offers through Italian middle-man Giovanni Branchini who is the intermediary for European clubs interested in signing the 19-year-old starlet who is tipped to become ‘the new Neymar’.

According to today’s edition of AS, Mr. Branchini has been contacted by the Merengues who are pondering whether to activate the player’s € 24 million release clause.

Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Barcelona, Manchester United and PSG are the only clubs that can sign Gabriel Jesus for just € 24 millions, whilst the release clause for all the other clubs interested in welcoming the player’s services is set to € 40 million.

Gabriel Jesus has netted 12 goals in 15 appearances with Palmeiras this term and has been included in Brazil’s national team for Rio 2016 alongside Neymar and Bayern Munich’s ace Douglas Costa.

Palmeiras' coach has recently warned the player that moving to Barcelona would be a mistake as Gabriel Jesus would start every game from the bench at the Nou Camp.
