Report: Injured Milan star Niang could be back in May

M'Baye Niang could be back in time for the Coppa Italia final, according to reports.

The AC Milan star, 21, has missed over a month's action since his driver crashed their car in wet conditions. The young Frenchman has been a revelation at the San Siro this season, helping Carlos Bacca score goals and proving to be a pest on the wing, with an eye for goal in the bargain.

Tuttosport are now reporting that the winger is set to return to training in early May, just in time to get some gametime back in his legs before the final, which will be held on May 21st. That's at least what Milan plan. In the meanwhile, Niang has gone straight from the hospital bed to the gym, and isn't using crutches at all.

Milan will face Juventus, who survived a heck of a comeback from Inter to crawl over the finish line.  Fans will need to check back in around three weeks, when Niang will return to visit Doctor Van Dijk in hospital to check on his progress.
