REVEALED! The reason behind Giovinco’s hilarious goal celebration against NY Red Bulls
The former Juventus’ star goal celebration was particularly weird as the Italian striker pretended to kickstart a motorcycle after netting a penalty kick in the 82nd minute.
Facebook and Twitter users have been asking themselves the reason behind such an unusual celebration and calciomercato.com has found it out.
The 29-year-old striker received a visit in Toronto from Italian anchormans and actors Pio e Amedeo. Their TV program broadcasted in Italy is based on their visits to Italian VIPs and sportsmen living abroad. The last time they went abroad, they visited Giovinco in his new hometown Toronto and advised him to celebrate his next with goal with a new style which would have distinguished him from the rest of footballers.
Watching the video you can hear the duo advising Giovinco to stop celebrating like Alessandro Del Piero, but to chose a unique celebration instead.
“Try to pretend kickstarting a Vespa”, the duo suggest the Toronto FC star who, a few days later, has followed his new ‘friends’’ advice.
