Exclusive: Milan DS Mirabelli to scout Lyon star in Champions League clash with Juventus
Mirabelli, a former Inter chief scout, has just been appointed as new AC Milan DS and is already travelling around Italy and the rest of Europe to scout the best potential reinforcements for the rossoneri.
Sources have exclusively told calciomercato.com that Mirabelli will be scouting Lyon star Nabil Fekir during tonight’s Champions League game between Juventus and Lyon.
Fekir, 23, can play as support striker or winger and his versatility would be perfect for Vincezo Montella’s AC Milan side that are looking to add some depth and quality to their squad. A talented left-footed striker, Fekir has stunning one-to-one dribbling skills and Mirabelli had already scouted him when he was working for Inter.
The player, however, sustained a serious knee injury last term, preventing the nerazzurri from making concrete offers for the French striker.
Fekir’s Lyon contract expires in June 2020, but he is not the only player under contract with the Ligue1 giants that AC Milan have an interest in. Maxime Gonalons and Corentin Tolisso are also known to be targets of the rossoneri that will have fresh cash to invest in the January transfer window.
