TOP 10: Which European clubs have spent the most in the last six years?

The Osservatorio Calcistico CIES has released a top 10 ranking with the clubs that have spent the most in the transfer market since 2010. Manchester City lead the table with more than € 1 billion invested. Pep Guardiola’s side are also those who spent the most in summer 2016.

Chelsea and Manchester United sit second and third respectively, but among those clubs, the Blues are the only ones who could reap the rewards of their investments in the last six years having won the Champions League in 2012.

Juventus, AS Roma and Inter are in the top 10 and the same goes for Italian clubs as only the nerazzurri lifted Europe’s most wanted trophy in 2010, whilst AS Roma are without a Serie A trophy in the last 15 years.
