Video: Leonardo Bonucci gets emotional while talking about his son's illness
As widely known, in fact, Bonucci’s youngest son Matteo is recovering from an undefined severe pathology that put his young life under treat last summer.
Matteo, however, is said to be recovering quite well now, but the Old Lady’s defender lived some of the worst moments in his life when his son had to undergo several surgeries to recover from the illness last summer.
Bonucci, 29, couldn’t contain his emotions on Monday afternoon, while talking to La Domenica Sportiva.
“It was a tough moment for my family and I. We want to thank all the fans that supported us, not only the Juventus ones. Everybody has shown their support.”
“When there is love between a wife and her husband and they both love their children, they are ready to face every situation. Union makes us strong and Matteo’s been the first one to prove it to us. He’s a fighter, he’s never given up and we’ve followed him.”
