Who is Miangue, Inter’s most promising left-back

Entering the pitch against Juventus to defend a precious result is not something that happens every day, especially if you are born in 1997. The player we are talking about is, of course, Senna Miangue who replaced Davide Santon in last week-end’s Derby d’Italia.

Miangue kicked off his career at 11 in a club, Beerschot, that went bankrupt later on. He made his debut for U-15 Belgium national team after playing for the youth teams of his club and was noticed by Inter scouts Casiraghi and Maneghetti during a game with U-15 Belgium national team.

He had been playing in many positions with Inter youth teams, in order to make the most of his statuesque physique (he’s 195 cm tall), but he has always given his best as left-back.

Before starting the football career, Miangue used to play mostly basketball with his friends, but everything happened very fast during his childhood until the player made his official debut with Inter.

De Boer thinks extremely high of the 19-year-old defender. They even speak the same language, which make conversations between them much easier. Miangue is always willing to listen to advices of his boss as well as of teammates Joao Miranda and Felipe Melo who are also helping his growth.
