    Between Badelj and Bentancur: AC Milan still chasing midfield reinforcement

    Vincenzo Montella has not openly revealed it, but the aeroplanino is now a little concerned for AC Milan’s transfer market. The Italian gaffer wants two more recruits at least, with one of those known to be a new midfielder to add quality and depth in a crucial area of the pitch.

    Milan Badelj and Rodrigo Bentancur top the rossoneri shopping list, here you have a few updates on the negotiations for both midfielders.

    BENTANCUR: The Uruguayan star has a verbal agreement with the rossoneri who have offered a five-year, € 1.5 million a year deal. Juventus have an option to sign the 19-year-old for € 10.4 million, AC Milan can invest between € 12 and € 14 million and are waiting for a final response of Boca Juniors. The Argentinean club have been informed by Juventus that they are not willing to exercise their option on the player.

    BADELJ: The Croat has also agreed to join AC Milan, but signing him from Fiorentina might be much more complicated than convincing Boca. Badelj’s agent has confirmed that the player wants to leave the club in an interview released with calcioweb.eu: “Fiorentina don’t want to sell him and we don’t know why. Badelj’s has asked to leave, let’s what happens on the 31st of August.” Badelj’s Fiorentina contract runs until 2018, but the player doesn’t want to extend his stay at the club.
