Torino fans, it's time to calm down. Alessio Cerci is very unlikely to be returning to the Stadio Olimpico, despite posting this picture of himself at New Year's, which included former manager Giampiero Ventura.

In fact, the Milan winger is very close to a move to the Marassi, and to Enrico Preziosi's Genoa: an agreement has already been found between the two clubs, it's now up to the forma Roma academy product to give the green light.

Oh, and Granata chairman Urbano Cairo has repeatedly denied that his club is interested in its former star, who netted 21 goals in 71 appearances there, and was the heart and soul of the team alongside Ciro Immobile.

Then why invite Ventura? Truth is, Il Maestro is the only Coach to have really worked well with the mercurial striker, who has flopped elsewhere - notoriously at Roma, Fiorentina and Atletico Madrid.

This would explain the caption that came with the picture: "the best way to recharge and start a new year is to begin it with the people who love you".

Genoa fans will certainly hope that's true. Cerci has scored one league goal since his move to Atletico Madrid.
