Antonio Conte has been omitted from the shortlist of candidates for FIFA coach of the year 2016. There are however, three Italian tacticians on the list published by La Repubblica today; Allegri, Ranieri and Sarri.
 

There are six managers from international teams who took part in Euro 2016; Santos of Portugal Deschamps of France, then Loew (Germany), Coleman (Wales), Lagerback (Iceland) and O'Neill (Northern Ireland).
 

Making up the rest of the list are Zidane of Real Madrid, Emery (Europa League winner with Sevilla), Blanc (ex PSG), Guardiola (ex Bayern Munich now Manchester City) Klopp (Liverpool), Luis Enrique (Barcelona) Tata Martino (Argentina), Pochettino (Spurs), Simeone (Atletico Madrid), Ambriz (América) Pizzi (Chile), Rueda (Nacional) and Rui Vitoria (Benfica).  

FIFA will now reduce the list to ten and the remaining candidates will be voted for by the captain, coach and a journalist from each federation.
