EXCLUSIVE Romano: Juve vs Roma for Duncan and Pellegrini

Sassuolo is the best place for the young players, but also for those who need to recover, like Francesco Acerbi and Nicola Sansone. The neroverdi never make mistakes about their investments, like the one done for Alfred Duncan. The 23-year-old midfielder joined last summer from Sampdoria, after that Inter Milan tried to bring him back to San Siro. Now, the Ghana international has many suitors, including Juventus.

The bianconeri are ready to put their hands on the youngster, but not for the immediate: they just want to block him and leave him at Sassuolo, with whom they are in great terms. On the contrary, AS Roma want to obtain the African player immediately. The Emilia’s club, to let Duncan leave, require €15 million, and they have already refused a €12m offer made by Napoli.

Moreover, the giallorossi are evaluating the situation of their former midfielder Lorenzo Pellegrini, actually at Sassuolo themselves, but for whom they have a rebuy clause. The Roman club is thinking about paying the €8 million needed to bring the 19-year-old back to Rome, to avoid the competitions of other clubs, like Juve indeed.
