Inter, Napoli and Fiorentina set to battle it out over Criscito

Domenico Criscito is always being linked to a return to Italy.

The Zenit defender is very much in vogue in Italy, partly because he can play both in the middle and on the wing.

The arrival of a new Coach (Mircea Lucescu) could push the Campanian defender to return to his home country, where three teams are hot on his heels.

One of them, Inter, needs a reliable partner to flank Joao Miranda, as Frank De Boer doesn’t seem to trust Jeison Murillo or Andrea Ranocchia. Unlike targets Ezekiel Garay and Victor Lindelof, he would already have knowledge of Serie A, too.

Fiorentina are in a similar situation, as they have a number of inconsistent players (Davide Astori, Nenad Tomovic) to partner Gonzalo Rodriguez. Arrival Sebastien De Mario looks more like a replacement at this stage.

Otherwise, Criscito is originally from Cercola, which is just outside Naples City Centre. With Kalidou Koulibaly still tempted by a move away from Naples and Lorenzo Tonelli potentially out for long through injury, the Partenopei may need to sign two players at the back, one of them being Nikola Maksimovic.

What if the other one was Criscito?
