Inter: sprint for Montoya. Fiorentina: Pasqual to extend

As reported yesterday, Inter Milan president and major shareholder Massimo Moratti has found an agreement wit the Indonesian tycoon Erick Thohir to yield to this latter the 70% of the club’s shares for about 350 million euros: Moratti, who has declared that he won’t keep the chairman’s post, has asked the whole ambiance to remain cautious, but, as confirmed by La Gazzetta dello Sport, the negotiation has been finally carried out and could be officialized next Monday. Thohir’s arrival should have an important impact on the club’s strategies regarding its first team, but the first sights are quite shocking: the 42 year old, in fact, as reported by Tuttosport, despite the recent excellent performances obtained by coach Walter Mazzarri is thinking about Ajax 43 year old Frank De Boer and Swansea City 49 year old Michael Laudrup. Thohir would like in any case to invest in some young players, like FC Basel 21 year old forward Mohamed Salah and Genoa same-aged defender Sime Vrsaljko. Meanwhile, the nerazzurri’s current executives keep on working to reinforce the team’s flanks, as required by Mazzarri indeed: with Juventus coach Antonio Conte that doesn’t want to let 25 year old Mauricio Isla leave, the Lombard club is keen on 22 year old Martin Montoya, whose contract with Barcelona will expire at the end of the season. Inter would like to find an agreement with the player as soon as possible and then try to obtain him in January for a reasonable price, but will have to compete with Arsenal who are seeking the heir of Bacary Sagna.

In the last days there have been some rumours regarding the possibility for Fiorentina captain Manuel Pasqual to leave the viola: but, as reported today by Radio Toscana, the 30 year old left back is about to sign a new two-year deal with the Tuscan club.
