Inter are looking for a back-up of senior striker Mauro Icardi and, according to Repubblica.it, Juventus’ wantaway Simone Zaza has been targeted by the Nerazzurri side.

As previously reported, former Sassuolo star has handed in a transfer request at the Old Lady as he wants to get more playing time in order to be included in Italy’s EURO 2016 squad.

Massimiliano Allegri, by the way, has rejected Zaza’s request.

Juventus have slapped a € 20 million price-tag on the 24-year-old striker and Inter don’t seem too eager to pay such a huge amount of money for a player whose not even among the club’s priorities for January.

Despite having played only 367 minutes so far, Zaza has already netted five goals in all competitions.

West Ham, Crystal Palace and Watford are the Premier League sides interested to sign him in the upcoming transfer window.
