    OFFICIAL: Samuel Umtiti replaces injured Mathieu in France squad for EURO 2016

    Didier Deschamps has given Lyon’s defender Samuel Umtiti a call up to France squad EURO 2016 after that Barcelona’s Jeremy Mathieu has been ruled out of the competition with a calf injury. Like Mathieu, also Umtiti can play as centre-back or left-back in a four-men defence. The 22-year-old defender scored one goal in 38 games in all competitions with Lyon this term.
