    Paredes: "I'm happy to be back at Roma"

    Leandro Paredes has returned to Roma and is in the squad that will play a friendly against Al Ahly on Friday. He spoke to Roma TV about his return to the giallorossi stating that; "I'm happy and content to be back here. I hope I can do well and return even stronger after the holidays". Asked about his relationship with his teammates he declared; "I've found the same group that I left last summer, I have a good rapport with everyone".

    On the subject of tomorrow's match he explained that; "I want to do my best and impress the manager". When asked about the last nine months with Empoli he replied; "It was very positive, I found what I was looking for and I'm happy we stayed in Serie A". It was put to him that his role with the Tuscan club was similar to that of Daniele De Rossi to which he explained that; "Training with Daniele has been important but also with my other colleagues," before continuing with; "I prefer playing deeper, the position that Giampaolo asked me to play was perfect". Finally, what was he hoping for on Friday, he replied; "To play a good game then return home".
