Roma midfielder Leandro Paredes has been speaking to the asroma.com about his early impressions after returning to the team under Luciano Spalletti. The 22-year-old explained that; “It’s been wonderful to return, I’ve found a fantastic group of players and now I want to keep improving and make my contribution to the team. The tour of the US has been pleasing for me especially the phase in Boston which was really enjoyable despite working really hard”.
 

He continued by giving his assessment of the opening match of the tour against Liverpool; “This has been a really important game against a strong team. We played well and did many good things but like all pre-season games, there’s room for improvement. Playing alongside Strootman and Nainggolan was great, I can learn a lot from these players as well as De Rossi, so I can also play in front of the defence”.
