The future is bright for Celtic 13-year-old sensation Dembele

Normally, news of someone named Dembele starting for Celtic’s Under-20 side would be seen as a negative, a step back for the Moussa who smashed in three in the recent Old Firm derby against Rangers.

This, however, is a story even more extraordinary, one of a left-footed playmaker named Karamoko… who made his debut for the Bhoys’ Under-20s last night despite being only 13 years old.

With the Hoops 3-1 up over Hearts, Coach Tommy McIntyre threw in the prodgy to replace fellow teen sensation Jack Aitchison.

The 13-year-old shined in last summer’s St Kevin’s Boys Academy Cup, Dembele being voted the player of the tournament despite facing giants like Barcelona and Lyon.

Who knows what the future can hold, with a first-team Coach like Brendan Rodgers who once started a certain Raheem Sterling when he was barely 17 years old?
