Thohir: 'Inter need to buy, but coherently', 'Those who won't give 100% can leave'

Inter owner Erick Thohir has said some very interesting things about his plans for Inter, namely what the Nerazzurri will do in the transfer market.

The Indonesian owner (who will have been here for three years come November) visited the Nerazzurri's facilities on Friday, and has been in Italy for the weekend.

"Some players will stay, some will go" Thohir told CNBC, "I told both the Coach and management that we need to be sure that those who stay understand what it means to be a part of Inter and wear this shirt.

"They need to be mentally strong, and they can't dip too much, despite football's nature as a sport with ups and downs.

"We need to be regular, fight, always give our best. Those who don't... don't belong here, and it's best for them if they leave. Those who stay need to understand how prestigious this shirt is, they need to feel its weight on their shoulders.

"Everyone, from the management to the players and the coach need to aspire to keep Inter a top team that can aim to win anything, even with Financial Fair Play".

The Indonesian magnate specified that "we'll buy players, but we'll do so coherently. Piero Ausilio is doing an excellent job, and I thank him for it.

"We need to add a couple of players to strengthen the squad. It's not an excuse, it's the reality of the situation.

"Let's not forget that we need to respect FFP
, we need to be within the parameters that UEFA has asked us to respect. I think we've been in line this season, we've worked hard with our management to sort things out.

"We buy and we sell, but that doesn't mean Inter isn't a top team in Italy, and can't be one in Europe".
