A Juventus of the future: eyes towards Morosini

Juventus continues to keep its eye on Italy’s best young talents and one of those talents can be found at Brescia in the shape of Leonardo Morosini. The 23-year-old midfielder has been in excellent form this season, scoring seven times in 33 appearances whilst making 33 assists in that period.

The player has attracted attention from all over Italy; in an interview with Radio Crc, the club’s Sporting Director Renzo Castagnini (who was the former head of youth development at Juventus) was asked about potential interest from Napoli to which he replied; “I’m not sure if Giuntoli (DS of Napoli) has met with the players agent but I wouldn’t be surprised, the boy has many admirers”. When the subject moved round to Juventus he replied; “They were one of the first clubs to make enquiries. Morosini would be good enough for any team”.

Juventus have already line-up some of the most promising youngsters in the country and any move for Morosini would almost certainly see him remain at Brescia on loan or see him arrive in Turin to then be sent out to another Serie A club. Currently under contract at the Rondinelle until 2019, Morosini has also impressed at international level with the Under 20 squad.
