‘Arsenal promise would snub Barcelona move’ says father
The promising striker is a product of the Gunners academy and Arsene Wenger is being testing him at a senior level this season with the 20-year-old starlet who managed three assists in the opening 14 games of the season with the North London club.
Barcelona had reportedly been scouting the Nigeria International, but Iwobi’s father denied that the LaLiga giants are interested in his son and that, even if they would, Iwobi would snub a move to the Nou Camp.
“Alex is where he wants to be and even if Barcelona would come and offer more money, he’d just say no. Money isn’t everything.”
Iwobi has 11 appearances and one goal with youth England national teams, but decided to play for Nigeria national team at a senior level. He has two goals and six assists in 35 appearances with the Gunners.
