Bayern, Lahm hints at retirement once again

Bayern Munich and Germany legend Phillip Lahm has been speaking to Bild and the 32-year-old has hinted that he may be considering hanging up his boots explaining that; “I’ve not ruled it out. For the past nine months I have been saying that it’s a possibility and my idea has not changed. There are seven months to go of the current campaign and I will make a definite decision at the end of the season. It won’t be the amount of titles I’ve won that will make me decide but the condition my body is in”.

Apart from a two-year loan spell at Stuttgart between 2003-05, Lahm has spent his entire career with the Bavarian giants and capped off a wonderful career by lifting the World Cup with Germany in 2014. With Bayern he has won eight league titles, a Champions League, seven German Cups and a World Club Championship.
