Carnevali: Juventus and Sassuolo have agreement over Berardi’s transfer

Sassuolo’s director of sport Giovanni Carnevali has revealed that Juventus have an agreement to sign the neroverdi star Domenico Berardi next summer.

Berardi, 22, is a long time target of the Old Lady but he’s said to have rejected a move to the J Stadium in the previous transfer window as he wanted to get more game time and he was afraid of ending up like his former teammate Simone Zaza who could only play a bit-part in his one-year spell at Juvenuts.

“It’s not true that Berardi rejected Juventus’ offer”, Carnevali told Zona 11 Pm.

“We had an agreement with Juventus last summer and the same agreement is still valid. Let’s see what’s going to happen at the end of the season.

Berardi, 22, is one of Italy’s best prospect having 40 goals and 23 assists in 92 Serie A games in his career. He’s had a stunning start to the 2016-17 campaign with seven goals in the opening six games, but he picked up a knee injury last September which is still keeping him out of action.
