Chelsea ready to make offer for unhappy Roma star Nainggolan
Belgian newspaper Het Nieuwsblad claim that the former Cagliari man is chafing at not being offered the deal he wants by the Giallorossi, set to be worth around €6 million a year.
Now, Antonio Conte is set to be pushing his side to make a new deal, especially because he needs fresh blood in the middle of the park to keep his 3-4-3 ticking. Since moving to that formation, the former Juventus manager has seen his team win six straight Premier League games, and not concede a single goal.
The Blues are also set to sell some players in the middle of the park, Oscar and Cesc Fabregas potentially going in the opposite direction and heading to Serie A.
The Belgian paper claims that Nainggolan wasn’t happy even after the recent win over Viktoria Plzen, probably the sign that he wants to play Champions League football, a competition Roma crashed out of earlier on this season.
Nainggolan was offered a generous deal by the Blues this summer, with his Belgian team-mates (Eden Hazard) trying to sway him into moving to London. Married to an Italian, the 28-year-old politely declined.
