Chelsea target De Vrij reportedly involved in paparazzi scuffle
According to a report of Il Messaggero, the Dutch defender (who is currently out of action with an injury) attacked the photographer when he noticed that he was taking pictures of him leaving the club at 3.30 am on Saturday night.
De Vrij reportedly damaged the paparazzo’s camera and SD card before offering the photographer a refund to cover the damages.
Lazio have denied that their defender has ever been involved in a similar accident, but the photographer confirms De Vrij’s attack.
De Vrij had been linked with moving to Chelsea last summer when the Blues were in desperate need of a new centre-back. However, with John Terry set to leave the Stamford Bridge at the end of the season, the Blues could make a new attempt to sign the 24-year-old defender, should they fail to land either Kostas Manolas or Antonio Rudiger.
