Expert: Nothing wrong with Candreva's equaliser in Milan Derby

As spectacular as it was, yesterday’s Milan Derby left some fans of the Rossoneri angry, whether it was Ivan Perisic’s late equaliser, or indeed Inter’s first goal, netted on 53 minutes.

Milan fans were in uproad at the Nerazzurri’s leveller, claiming that it had come off a throw-in which should have been given to them.

The Rossoneri players certainly agreed, falling asleep at the wheel and allowing the ball to be quickly thrown to Antonio Candreva, who got the time he needed to fire a bullet past Gigi Donnarumma for the equaliser.

Our refereeing expert, Massimo Chiesa, claims that referee Tagliavento actually got it right. Awarding him a very high 7.5 out of 10, he specified that the official got most of his calls right, and that Manuel Locatelli’s sliding tackle was what put the ball out of play.

The Rossoneri scored two through tricky Spanish winger Suso, but the draw leaves them trailing Serie A leaders Juventus by a whole seven points.
