Ezequiel Lavezzi could make shock return to Europe

Argentinean star Ezequiel Lavezzi could return to Europe in the January transfer window to join Ligue1 side OGC Nice. The Argentinean striker swapped PSG with Chinese Super League side Hebei Fortune in the last winter transfer window and, one year after his move to China, the former Napoli man could make return to the Old continent and France.

Lavezzi’s spell in China has not affected him in terms of International football as the winger has not lost his spot in Argentina national team despite his performances being not in line with expectations as the 31-year-old striker could only manage four assists in 10 games since joining the Chinese club.

OGC Nice have proved to be specialized in recovering players that seemed lost. The Ligue1 side signed Mario Balotelli from Liverpool last summer and the former Milan striker has already scored as much goals as he had managed in the last two seasons combined.

Scorer of seven goals in nine games in all competitions, Balotelli is suffering physical hassles and will be forced to skip the next three games with the Ligue1 table leaders that are considering signing Lavezzi on a six-month loan deal as they would be unable to match the Argentinean’s € 15 million-a-year salary.
