FOCUS: Who are Inter's new investors?

In the last days, Inter Milan former president Massimo Moratti declared: “Do I want to sell my shares? Absolutely not, I have the intention to go on and to see the club being reinforced with a total agreement between shareholders”.
Such declarations must not be underestimated: in the last days there have been some rumors about the possibility for some Chinese investors to buy part of the club’s shares. Who is introducing these investors? Goldman Sachs or Pirelli?
As previously explained, Inter’s financial situation is quite complicated, and their current president Erick Thohir doesn’t have the possibility to sell the club; for this reason, he could have asked Goldman Sachs to find some investors; in this case, the Indonesian tycoon would remain the main shareholder while Moratti would keep the 30% of the shares.
On the contrary, if there was Pirelli behind the negotiation, considering the relations between the Moratti family and the Pirelli group, Thohir’s power would be reduced while the Italians would have a great influence.
