Genoa keeper Perin donates match kit to Italy earthquake victims

Now THIS is a nice gesture.

Italy has witnessed another major earthquake, mere weeks after an ironically smaller quake devastated entire towns, killing 300.

While some have just sat at home and watched their televisions in horror, Genoa goalkeeper Mattia Perin has taken an active role, auctioning off his gloves, boots and match kit for charities in aid of victims of the earthquakes.

The Genoa goalkeeper has always been known for wearing his haert on his sleeve, sometimes in a bad way.

What a wonderful gesture from the goalkeeper who has attracted a lot of interest in recent years, especially from Inter and AC Milan.

Despite being only 23, Perin has already made over 100 Serie A appearances with Genoa, overtaking that landmark recently.

He has also been mentioned by his agent at being better than Gianluigi Donnarumma, a sign that the youngster is a big fighter, someone who won't cede his place in the Italy squad lightly.
