Giovinco ‘new Del Piero’? Roma get Danilo!

Sebastian Giovinco has been one of these season’s revelations and the Parma ace hopes to make the Italy squad list for the Euro 2012.

The young attacking midfielder could return to Juventus in the summer and achieve his dream to replace Alessandro Del Piero with the No. 10 shirt.

“My return in Turin depends on their plans,” explained the ‘Atomic Ant’.

“Juve have had a tremendous season so far and I hope they will end it on the high. I know Del Piero’s shirt will be available in the summer and I certainly fancy that number.

“But it is early yet to talk about this. Parma and Juvenus will have to agree on my co-ownership.”

    • Roma get Danilo!

Marcio Rivelino, the agent of both Marquinho and Danilo, advised Roma to sign both players permanently in the summer.

Marquinho is on loan from Fluminense and has so far impressed the Giallorossi. So in the summer the player should move to the Olimpico permanently for a €4.5M fee.

“I am happy for the player but now I would like to see Danilo in Giallorosso,” explained Rivelino.

The 28-year-old defender joined Udinese last summer from Palmeiras rapidly settling in Serie A.

Danilo will be available for €8M and has expressed his desire to join Roma. The Giallorossi are desperately looking to strengthen their backline considering that both Simon Kjaer and Juan may leave in the summer which is why Danilo would be a quality option for them.

Furthermore, director Sabatini could include him in a maxi swap with Udinese considering that the Giallorossi are also looking to sign at Armero and Isla but will get rid of Marco Borriello in the summer.
